  • About SMC
In order to give you the most accurate quote possible, we will need to know the following:
1) the cemetery the monument is going to
2) the grave space available for the monument (will it be going over one grave, two, or more)
3) the color of granite you want the monument to be in
4) the style of your monument
5) the size you would like your monument to be
6) any additional items you would like added to your monument
The pages below will help you determine your color, size, style and ad-ons.
Available Granite Colors
Picture
The first step in choosing a monument is determining which color of granite will be used. Different colors of granite are mined in different locations around the world, so the availability of the stone will be the first cost factor when creating the monument.
Monument styles & sizes

After the stone color is selected, the next step is to determine the style of your stone and size it will be. We have many available.

Once the color of granite, the style of the stone, and the size has be selected, we will be able to give you a general quote. Make sure to check with the cemetery for any style and size restrictions before choosing your stone. Some cemeteries only allow flat markers. Others require minimum foundations lengths or may only allow your stone to be so high. The cemetery may also require a permit for setting the stone, so we will need to know where the stone is going.

Additional Items
Designs & Ideas

Next are optional add-ons to the monument, such as vases, photos, and lasers. These do have additional costs, and some of the items (such as a vases) can affect the size of the monument as well. If additional items are requested, we need to know about them to give an accurate quote. If there is something we do not have listed, please call us and we will be happy to obtain it if possible.

After a quote is given and a contract is established, the last step is determining what designs will go on the monument. We have most of our available designs listed here, but we are able to aquire additional designs to suit individual needs. If the design is very complex, there may be additional artwork charges, but this does not happen often.
